Purpose
The purpose of this policy is to define, document and communicate the responsibility, authority and accountability for all elements of the A2Z Services QMS. This policy and procedure applies to all activities across all operational areas of A2Z Services business.
Resources (including people)
A2Z Services is committed to ensuring that we determine accurately and provide the competent resourcing necessary to develop and implement our products and services. Our management team, will develop, implement, maintain and improve the company structure Organisation chart (OF0001) and so that all our company’s Management systems are resourced effectively and efficiently. To ensure our company is resourced effectively and efficiently, the management team will understand, plan, monitor and measure:
- The capabilities of our internal resources to deliver our products and services;
- Any constraints that impact on our internal resources to deliver our products and services or EMS outcomes.
- Managers are responsible for identifying the need and requirements for staff and utilities under their control. Request for additional resources must be submitted to General Manager for review and approval.
The management team will gain information from our external suppliers to help deliver our products and services and this will help ensure the resourcing of our company is effective and efficient.
Policy
Senior Management at A2Z Services has developed a register of assigned organisational roles, responsibilities and authorities for the implementation and maintenance of the Management System. The assignment of the roles, responsibilities and authorities will be described in the Roles, Responsibilities and Authorities Register. This will ensure that A2Z Services’ processes are controlled and delivered by implementing clear roles and reporting structures.
The register and schedule for roles, responsibilities and authorities also provides for reporting of management system performance and for the identification of opportunities to improve the system.
As changes occur within the QMS, the register and schedule will provide the necessary information to ensure the integrity and quality of the management system is maintained.
Successfully managing health and safety in the workplace and environmental protection relies on commitment, consultation and co-operation.
Health and Safety Roles, Responsibilities and Accountabilities Policy
Objective: Everyone in the workplace understands the need for health and safety, what their role is in making the workplace safer, and how they can fulfil their responsibilities and duties.
Scope: This policy applies to all workers of A2Z Services.
Policy: Successfully managing health and safety in the workplace and environmental protection relies on commitment, consultation and co-operation.
A2Z Services allocates the following roles and responsibilities:
PCBU – Officer (board member, Managing Director or other):
- Approval of WHSMS documentation;
- Communication of WHSMS policies and objectives;
- WHSMS leadership;
- Allocating sufficient WHSMS resources;
- Reviewing WHS performance;
- Providing direction for increasing WHS performance;
- Establishing and promoting a WHS culture;
- Legal obligations to provide and maintain a safe workplace.
PCBU – Management:
- Integration of WHS into all decision making;
- Consult with workers and other duty holders/contractors;
- Plan, develop, implement, monitor and review WHSMS policies, procedures and plans;Control risks;
- Support WHS committees;
- Provide WHS communication;
- Discuss WHS at safety meetings;
- Identify training needs and enable training as required;
- Reporting and recording;
- Liaise with relevant regulatory authorities;
- Legal obligations to provide and maintain a safe workplace.
WHS Committees:
- Develop, monitor and review WHSMS policies and procedures;
- Monitor and report on WHS performance;
- Monitor changes in legislation;
- Review corrective actions;
- Provide WHS information to workers.
All workers & Franchisees:
- Comply with WHS policies, procedures and plans;
- Work in a manner that is safe and does not create risks for themselves or others;
- Report and assist in rectifying hazards;
- Participate in consultative arrangements;
- Legal obligations to not endanger others by their acts or omissions.
